Website Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 August 2026 · Version 10.0
Scope of these terms: these terms govern use of the website. A project begins only after a separate written quotation or agreement is accepted. Nothing on this website forms an automatic contract or guarantees that a project will be accepted.
Using this website
You may use this site to learn about SOLIDSTEAD and make a genuine enquiry. You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape it in a way that disrupts service, or submit unlawful or infringing material.
Accuracy and availability
Reasonable care is taken with website information, but general content is not project-specific engineering advice. Services, availability and content may change. The website may be unavailable temporarily for maintenance, security or circumstances outside reasonable control.
Enquiries, quotations and scope
An enquiry is not an order. Before work begins, requirements, assumptions, deliverables, price, payment, revisions, responsibilities and expected timescale should be agreed in writing. Changes may require a revised price or schedule.
Design approval and use
Where approval is required, manufacture or use should proceed only against the agreed revision. The customer remains responsible for providing accurate input information and explaining the real intended use, operating environment and relevant constraints.
Manufacturing
SOLIDSTEAD may provide in-house FDM 3D printing where the quoted material, process, geometry, finish, tolerance and intended use are suitable. A printed item is supplied only to the agreed specification and is not represented as safety-critical, regulated, certified or fit for an unstated purpose. Other manufacturing routes are offered only where an independent supplier has been assessed for the specific project and the quotation defines responsibility for capability, tolerances, inspection, material, finish, lead time and delivery.
Safety-critical and regulated work
SOLIDSTEAD may decline work requiring specialist certification, regulated approval, safety validation, traceability, insurance or competence outside the agreed capability. Website examples must not be used as production designs or safety evidence. See the project-suitability boundaries.
Intellectual property
The website, branding and original concept-project material are protected by intellectual-property law. You may view them for ordinary personal or business evaluation but may not reproduce, publish or commercially exploit them without permission. Project-file ownership and licences must be defined in the relevant quotation or agreement. Pre-existing intellectual property remains with its owner.
Concept projects
Items labelled “Concept Project”, “Design Study” or similar are original demonstrations. They are not paid client work, certified products or validated designs and do not establish suitability for a real application.
Third-party websites and services
External links are provided for convenience. SOLIDSTEAD does not control third-party content, privacy practices or availability. External manufacturing, hosting and email services are governed by their own terms where applicable.
Liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these website terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or consumers' statutory rights. Subject to those protections, SOLIDSTEAD is not responsible for loss caused by treating general website content or unvalidated concept work as project-specific advice.
Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws applicable in the part of the United Kingdom in which the SOLIDSTEAD operator is established. Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights are not displaced.
