Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 29 August 2026 · Version 10.0
Accessibility aim: SOLIDSTEAD aims to make this website usable with keyboard navigation, zoom, mobile devices and common assistive technologies. The site has not yet undergone an independent accessibility audit and no formal WCAG conformance claim is made.
Measures included
- A logical heading structure and one main heading per page.
- A skip link, visible keyboard focus and keyboard-operable navigation and FAQ controls.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and labelled enquiry fields.
- Responsive layouts without horizontal scrolling at tested mobile widths.
- Reduced-motion support for visitors who request it.
- Readable contrast within the existing dark SOLIDSTEAD visual identity.
Target standard
The design and ongoing review use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a reference target. Meeting a target requires continuing content, code and user testing; it is not established merely by publishing this statement.
Known limitations
The enquiry form opens the visitor's installed email application rather than providing a fully hosted form. Some detailed concept images and the manufacturing diagram may be easier to understand with their surrounding text. PDF or CAD documents supplied during projects may require separate accessible alternatives depending on their purpose.
Alternative contact
If any part of the website is difficult to use, email hello@solidstead.co.uk. Describe the page, the problem and the format or adjustment that would help. Reasonable efforts will be made to provide the information another way and correct genuine barriers.
Review
This statement should be reviewed after material design changes, new interactive features or feedback from disabled users.
