Website information
The information on this website describes SOLIDSTEAD's intended design and manufacturing-support services. Individual projects are governed by the scope, quotation and terms agreed for that project.
Quotations and scope
Work should begin only after the project requirements, deliverables, price, revisions and expected timescale have been agreed. Changes to the agreed scope may require a revised price or schedule.
Design approval
Where a client approval stage is required, manufacture should proceed only against the agreed model or drawing revision. Changes requested after approval may create additional cost and delay.
Manufacturing
SOLIDSTEAD does not currently operate production machinery in-house. Where manufacturing support is included, production is fulfilled by external specialist partners. Process capability, tolerances, finish, inspection, lead time and delivery are project-specific.
Safety-critical and regulated applications
SOLIDSTEAD may decline work that requires specialist certification, regulated approvals, safety-critical validation or competence outside the agreed service capability.
Intellectual property
Ownership and permitted use of CAD files, drawings, concepts and other project deliverables should be defined in the project quotation or agreement. Pre-existing intellectual property remains with its existing owner unless otherwise agreed.
Website concept projects
Projects labelled “Concept Project” or “Design Study” are demonstrations and must not be interpreted as validated production designs, completed client work or proof of suitability for a particular application.
